Loved Up

Hello - bit of a late start this month but an emergency project for January - card designs to get ready to sell for Valentines Day on Feb 14th.  We're not Clinton Cards, so try to think differently about how you interpret all things loved up!

The christmas cards never really came about (everybody a bit busy in December) but we do really need to start raising some money (our focus this year is on trying to support students who need to stay in London in July when their work is at New Designers - an event that each year raises the profile of our Programme in general, not just those BA and FD2 students involved)

To see if we can raise even more money beyond card sales, if you are interested I would like to see if we can organise a mini exhibition and a raffle for people to win your original 'loved up' artwork(I'd like to aim for at least ten pieces of original artwork for the raffle...)

Christmas is coming...

I know it was only Halloween last night, but the next project spells the beginning of all things Festive...so lets get some Christmas card designs ready for December the 1st so we can start raising some money (our focus this year is on trying to support students who need to stay in London in July when their work is at New Designers)

Ten-in-One

A classic sideshow/carnival event, the "Ten-in-One" offered ten attractions - from human oddities to daredevil stunts - under one tent for a single admission price.

Illustrate yourself into our sideshow and email your image (jpeg please) to melbrown@plymouthart.ac.uk by the 31st October.

The best ten will be posted here on the 1st of November along with a new project.

Welcome to Sideshow - a series of extra projects to fit into the bits in between, underneath and generally to the side of what you should be doing!

A new project will be posted on the first of every month.  Your responses should be emailed to melbrown@plymouthart.ac.uk before the last day of the month ready for posting on this 'ere blog.

Please also feel free to email me any of your ideas for future sideshow projects.
